Silicone Sigma Mixer
Abster Silicone Sigma Mixer have proven to be reliable machines for the mixing and kneading of low-to high-viscosity products in many industries. Their working principle is based on two tangential counter rotating blades creating shear within the treated product in combination with the wall of the trough. Variation of the revs per minute, friction and position of the blades results in extremely effective mixing and kneading of the material. The versatility of this Silicone Sigma Mixer enables simultaneous processes within a mixing cycle like moistening, plasticizing, dispersing, homogenizing, melting, cooling, degassing, evaporation, dissolving and reacting.

‘Abster™’ Heavy Duty 1000 Liters Sigma Kneader for mixing of crucible dough is powered by a 50 HP motor, with a drive system comprising of a hydraulic coupling, helical reduction gearbox, a gear coupling and heavy duty helical gears driving the pair of Sigma Blades. An external jacket is provided on the mixing container for hear transfer. Product charging is through the top of the container through a big bag with a top lid in fully open position. The material discharged through tilting of the mixing container. Abster Equipment manufactures Sigma Mixers for diverse applications, with capacities ranging from lab size mixer of 2 liters capacity up to 5000 liters capacity. These mixers are offer in grades of Stainless Steel, Alloy Steel, and Carbon Steel. The mixers can offered for container tilting discharge, bottom discharge or discharge through a screw.
